About Nick Peronace

Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Nick Peronace and I started riding horses when I was just four years old. Now in my 40's, I've trained several horses to the very highest levels of dressage. I have competed up to 4th Level within the USDF and I've won the Training Level high score award within the ECRDA. In 2013, The prestigious Dressage At Devon competition hosted a sponsored trophy for non-warmblood dressage in honor of myself and my favorite horse Chevy. Chevy was an Appaloosa Quarter Horse that I trained to perform all of the Grand Prix movements plus some of the classical Airs Above Ground.

My formal equestrian education began in the hunter jumper discipline but eventually gravitated towards dressage when I became a teenager. During my high school years, I was a working student for many top rated FEI Level trainers. I immersed himself in the teachings of the masters like Nuno Oliveira, Alois Podhajsky, Baucher, and Decarpentry. In my early 20's, I became a freelance trainer. I traveled the country working with horses of all ages, breeds, and phases of training.

In 2018, I sold my last horse who was schooling FEI. Currently I'm teaching a select group of private students and I'm active in the horse community as a writer and blogger. My most recent book titled "Behind The Bit, A Cautionary Tale About The Horse Industry, has taken the horse world by storm! It exposes all of the lies and scams within the industry, while it also uncovers a conspiracy to permanently ruin my reputation by a group of gas lighting online lynch mobs I now call "Swamp Town."

Today, I am happily married living with my wife and our children in New Jersey. I have has been honored by The Italian American Foundation and I'm an avid study of American history. When I'm not riding horses, I enjoy working in my garden, tending to my many fruit trees, cooking authentic Italian foods, and playing my guitar. Most of all, I enjoy bringing everyone I love together for a great meal around my table.
